Local Control Accountability Plan Update – January, 2015
As the implementation of our second year of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is underway, we continue to embrace the concepts of developing, reviewing, clarifying and re-assessing our goals for all students, based upon identified needs and priorities, to be measured annually for success. The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is the document that specifies these student goals and methods for measurement of success. The LCFF and LCAP development processes continue to include the active engagement and consultation with our stakeholders throughout the district.
We are proud and excited to have initiated the process of engaging each of our stakeholders in the LCAP review, clarification and re-assessment processes once again this year. We have completed our "Division" (Grades TK-3, 4-6, 7-8) Stakeholder Input Meetings (January 20, 21, 22) and look forward to reviewing the Division concepts identified by each group at our February 5th meeting including all District (Grades TK-8) stakeholder representatives, bargaining team representatives and Board of Trustees Budget Sub-Committee Members, Mrs. Nash and Mrs. Scribner. This team will identify "district priorities" to be incorporated into our revisions of our current LCAP document.
Included with this message you will find the timelines that have been developed for full stakeholder involvement as our LCAP revision processes continue.
We commend our Board of Trustees and all members of the stakeholder groups for their active participation in our processes- including ALL parents, students and staff members who responded to our recent surveys and who have actively participated in our many on-site meetings to enable us to further gather input. This continues to be a most involved and exciting time for education in California and in the Eureka Union School District.
