Dear Families:

        Welcome to a new and exciting year at Maidu School where children come first!  We believe that every child can learn and we have high academic and behavioral expectations for our students.  We are proud of our school, the education it offers the students and the community which it serves.

        As part of the community that supports Maidu School, I would like to extend a personal invitation to each family to become involved in the many activities that will be occurring during the school year.  Volunteering in the classroom, participating in the Parent Teacher Club (PTC), attending or becoming a member of a school or district committee, attending a school or district-sponsored event (Back-to-School Night, Open House, grade-level performances, Literacy Night, or Parent Education Nights) are just a few of the ways that you can become part of the activities at Maidu School and throughout the Eureka Union School District.  The more active you are at school, the more you model to your child that school is important.

       As we begin the school year, I look forward to getting to know each family as we continue to create a partnership that supports Maidu School and its students.
