The Eureka Union School District has been a regional leader in providing state of the art classroom technology to support the core curriculum and enrichment. The increased use of Google tools by teachers to support the District's Challenge 21 and College/Career Readiness programs,Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and Common Core Standards (CCSS) requires a prioritized focus on technology. The Technology staff are dedicated to assessment, research, installation, implementation, and monitoring of technology operating systems, application software, and hardware equipment. Best practices are continually developed and applied to ensure reliable access to technological tools and secure data privacy. Although technology has been a priority within the District, limited school district funding for these purposes has been substantially subsidized by support of the Eureka Schools Foundation (ESF), school site PTC's and other local individual donations and corporate sponsors.
The Education Technology Plan was formally approved by the Board of Trustees on May 6, 2014.
