Please read the definitions of the emergency procedures used during different emergency situations.
Be aware of what the emergency procedure means to staff and students,
and what your role is as a parent during that time. 
 
Your first instinct will be to go to the school site,
DO NOT GO TO THE SCHOOL, DO NOT CALL YOUR CHILD(ren),
DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL SITE AT THIS TIME.
 Doing so will complicate the resolution of the situation, threaten the safety of yourself, staff, and our students, and slow down the emergency procedures and/or reunification process already in progress. 
 
The best course of action, as a parent, is to stay close to TV/Radio/Cellphone/Website to be informed
 with updates and instructions to ensure the best outcome for all involved.
