EUREKA UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH
The Eureka Union School District (EUSD) Board is in the process of conducting an Executive Search for the District’s next Superintendent. Superintendent Janis announced he is retiring on March 31, 2026.
The Board is committed to keeping the community informed at every major milestone. Updates on the Superintendent Search will be posted on this webpage, shared at regularly scheduled Board meetings.
Overview of the Process
The EUSD Board has engaged the Placer County Office of Education (PCOE) to lead the recruitment and comprehensive search process for the selection of our next District Superintendent. This partnership ensures a fair, thorough, and transparent process that reflects the values and priorities of our school community.
As part of this process, the Board will seek valuable input from parents, staff, and community members regarding the qualities, experience, and leadership skills desired in our next Superintendent. All input received will be reviewed and thoughtfully considered by the Board as part of its decision-making process. The Board will then evaluate all candidate applications, conduct interviews with selected finalists, and ultimately appoint the new Superintendent.
In accordance with state law, all application materials — including candidate names and any personally identifiable information — remain confidential throughout the process.
