The EUSD Vision:

The Eureka Union School District is dedicated to developing learned and inspired global citizens.  We provide our students with a dynamic, rigorous education that focuses on collaboration, critical thinking, and character development. The Business Department:

The role and mission of the Business Department is to support the EUSD Vision for student success by efficiently providing quality administrative services and effectively aligning our limited resources to support the goals of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).  The Business Department strives to provide an excellent level of service to students, staff, parents, and community members in the following areas:

  • Financial Accounting/Budget
    • Developing an monitoring the district and school site budgets in alignment with the LCAP
    • Managing the district’s fiscal resources, accounting records and cash flow
    • Interfacing with other agencies and organizations to ensure maximized funding and compliance with program requirements
    • Student Attendance Accounting
    • Coordinating audits, completing mandated reporting to various government agencies, providing “best practices” guidance to ensure compliance
    • Collecting and depositing district revenue
  •  Accounts Payable/Receivable
    •  Issuing payments to vendors for goods and services
  •  Purchasing 
    • Efficient procurement of supplies, equipment, and instructional materials to support school operations
  • Payroll/Employee Benefits 
    • Providing accurate, timely and compliant payroll and benefit services to all district employees
  • Facilities/Maintenance & Operations
    • Providing facilities and grounds and related maintenance services to ensure a quality learning environment for students
    • Coordinating sustainability measures in the areas of energy efficiency and  water conservation
    • Coordinating community use of facilities
  • Transportation 
    • Providing safe, reliable and efficient Home to School and Special Needs transportation services for students
    • Providing field trip transportation services to local and regional schools and community organizations
  • Nutrition Services
    • Coordinating with the Roseville Joint Union High School District to provide  healthy school lunches and nutritional education to help support student’s health, well-being and the ability to learn
  • Insurance/Risk Management 
    • Monitoring property and liability insurance coverage, incidents and best practices
    • Coordinating Employee insurance
    • Coordinating Student Insurance
